The bible records in Nehemiah 8:10 that the Joy of the Lord is your strength.
How can I get the joy of the Lord? I can’t even go to His tabernacle! How can I be joyful when I am stuck in my house? My money is tight, jobs are closing, kids acting crazy, family passing...HOW or WHERE, can I get this Joy?
I’ve tried church online to find joy. I’ve walked around the neighborhood praying and listening to music while searching for joy. There’s been a struggle to reach that point where I can push myself to fight the good fight.
Lord, I need your strength!
I remember hearing a preacher once say, “When you want something, you JUMP up and get it!” So, you know what I did? That very next morning I JUMPED up with a made up mind saying I was gonna get the strength I needed because I will be joyful! The bible says “Make a joyful noise all Ye lands!” I JUMPED up with a song in my heart, singing about His goodness and mercy. I began praising Him for His kindness towards me and giving Him thanks for just another day that He has kept me with my mind stayed on Him! I learned how to make my broken pieces sing in sorrowful situations.
I’m closing, but I want to let someone know ... If you have a made up mind that you will serve the Lord no matter what the circumtance may be, you WILL have joy. For the bible says, “Those who sow in tears shall reap in Joy!"
